Undergraduate Scholarships

The Department of Physics & Astronomy welcomes applications from all declared undergraduate student majors in physics for our scholarships! We, along with the University as a whole as well as the College of Science, offer undergraduate scholarships for both incoming freshmen and continuing undergraduate students. Applications are completed through Academic Works, the University's scholarship application portal.

Please note that students must complete both the University General Application (do this first) and the College of Science Application to be considered for all college and department scholarship opportunities. Please carefully read the instructions on the Academic Works landing page to ensure you understand how to complete both applications.

We also strongly recommend that all students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year to determine what state or federal aid they may be eligible for, including work-study opportunities and grants.

For more scholarship information, please visit the University Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid or contact them directly.

For information on department-specific scholarships, please reach out to the Department of Physics & Astronomy's front desk.
